BEFORE: Office and Living Room

When you go up the stairs to the second level, you face this room - what we will use as an office. Notice the scuffs around the walls near the ceiling. The previous owners had installed elaborate crown molding throughout the house. Besides not fitting with the modern style of the house, the molding was poorly installed with gaps and misaligned edges. We had it removed when the house was painted.

As you turn left, you head into the living room (over the garage). The spiral staircase leads to a loft. At some point we intend to build in some bookcases with a moving library ladder that will allow for access to the loft without taking up so much space.
